Acquisition:   Originally built, 1799, as a corvette; rebuilt, 1830, at Norfolk Navy Yard, by Government. Launched at Norfolk, 1829-30.

Battery:   May 28, 1862, 1 30-pdr. Dahlgren rifle, 1 30-pdr. Parrott rifle, 2 VIII-inch 55 cwt., 4 32-pdr. 33 cwt.; December 31, 1864, add 2 20-pdr. Dahlgren rifles.
Disposition:   Sold at public auction, October 5, 1867, at Boston, for $10,000.
Remarks:   Went out of commission, July 29, 1853; recommissioned, at Boston harbor, October 20, 1854. January 18, 1862, went out of commission; recommissioned, May 27, 1862. September 30, 1865, finally went out of commission, and was sold.
